Yes, over the past few days I've written posts that made fun of women and their appetite for vegetables as well as PMS. In case anyone hasn't noticed, I've never been accused of being politically correct. Irreverent, yes, but not politically correct. Please don't mistake my oddball sense of humor for sexism.
I have three daughters, all with a steel-like strength of character. One, Andrea, as well as my wife, are US Navy veterans. While Andrea is recruiting-poster beautiful, she was a plane captain on CH-46 helicopters and an "aviation warfare specialist". Kristan has her Masters in Accounting degree and Erica is an elementary school teacher. Besides that, both the latter two have 2 kids each, which in my mind makes them tougher that Rambo ever could be. They learned from me to never believe there is anything (well, except maybe "peeing" their name in the snow) they can't do. (Oops, there's that oddball sense of humor again!)
I voted for a woman for Governor (in the primaries) back in 1971 (?). I've also voted for women for city council, mayor, state legislator, and senator. Understand, I didn't vote for any of them because they were women, but because I agreed with [most of] what they said they believed in. The same would apply for a candidate who was Black, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, WASP, or anything else.
I hope I never offend anyone with my goofy antics, but if I am ever on that cusp in your mind, please remember what I've written here. There will never be any intentional disrespect from my pen. I'm truly an equal opportunity offender. ;)

ReplyDeleteNo need to post a disclaimer Scott, it is evident to me and I am sure everyone else that you have no hate for any gender or group. People that take offense generally are looking to be a victim and to spout their own venim back at others. I don't agree with all of your views on politics, but I do enjoy different opinions and certianly respect yours.
